Automotive Technology

Start your new career in as little as 12 short months!

This program thoroughly prepares you for a career in automobile service and repair.

Upon graduation, you'll have sufficient knowledge and skills to obtain employment as a general automotive technician in a car dealership or independent service center.

In the Automotive Technology program you will:

  • Learn from ASE Certified Master Technicians and train to successfully take the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) tests as well as numerous additional certifications you can attain while in school.
  • Learn the latest automotive technology and perform in-depth hands-on repairs on major system components including engines, transmissions and driveline systems. Learn computer-based diagnostics on Gasoline and diesel fueled vehicles.
  • Performance enthusiast? Learn the truth about how to really make performance gains. Our training exceeds the realms of stock performance applications.
  • Receive Ongoing Placement assistance. Each PCI campus has full-time Graduate Employment Specialists dedicated to helping all of our graduates find that job that is just right for them.

There are over 143 million cars on the road today and every one of them will need to be serviced or repaired. This program allows you to graduate as an experienced technician and can justify a competitive compensation rate.

Classes are available either in the morning, afternoon, or evening

  • Morning and afternoon Automotive Technology classes meet for 12 months and consist of 60 credit hours (1200 actual hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. or 12:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
  • Evening classes meet for 18 months and consist of 60 credit hours (1200 actual hours) of instruction. The attendance schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:25 p.m.
